Student Council Feeds Families for the Holidays

Under the direction of Principal, Sister Jacquelyn Balasia, Mother Seton High School’s student council ran a food drive to insure that families in the area would be able to have the traditional holiday dinners.  Through their efforts, the girls were able to create 40 large food baskets along with 40 turkeys which they donated to Saint Joseph’s Social Service Center in Elizabeth and Saint John the Apostle Church in Clark, New Jersey.  The students used their boundless energy to collect, organize, and deliver all the baskets making sure the local families in need had the proper food for their feast.

Mother Seton Donates to Those in Need at RWJ University Hospital at Rahway

This fall, Mother Seton Regional High School was asked by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway to partner with them in a project designed to help patients with Alzheimers disease or early onset dementia. The hospital staff was in need of puzzles, crayons, coloring books and cards to help stimulate the patients who were admitted for a separate medical issue. The Mother Seton community collected six cartons of these materials that will now be used to focus and relax the patients and help keep them alert during their hospital stay. The hospital items were collected in conjunction with Mother Seton’s Spirit Week.
